Wine Advocate #174
A beautiful, Meursault-like Chardonnay from El Molino, the 2005 Chardonnay exhibits notes of buttered nuts, a subtle hint of caramel, honeysuckle, orange rind, and some citrus oil along with terrific acidity, medium to full body, delicacy, and nuance. It is a beauty of restraint yet richness. Drink it over the next several years. -Robert Parker, December 2007

California Grapevine
Medium light to medium golden yellow color; attractive, forward, rich, intense, buttery, spicy, ripe tropical fruit aroma with notes of butterscotch and hazelnut; full body; rich, concentrated, ripe tropical fruit flavors with a creamy, luxurious mouthfeel; lingering aftertaste. Very highly recommended.

Wine Spectator
Rich and creamy, with spicy pear, melon, fig and apricot notes that fan out nicely on the palate, ending with a plush, rich aftertaste. Drink now through 2010. 910 cases made. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. —J.L.

Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar
Fairly pale color. Subdued aroma of poached pear, lemon and minerals turned a bit oakier and more caramelly with air. Dense and firmly built, with a juicy quality to the flavors of peach nectar, lemon drop and minerals. Threatens to go heavy but manages to maintain its balance. May/June 2007
