Insiders’ Wine Line
(Outstanding)
The 1998 Pinot Noir, Napa Valley has a concentrated nose of cherries, raspberries, red plum, cigar box, toast and brown spice. The flavors of cherries, berries, cola, white pepper, cinnamon and toasty vanilla are balanced with good depth followed by a lovely, fruity, spicy finish. Suggest 1 to 2 years cellaring.

California Grapevine
PMedium ruby; attractive, intense, complex, smoky, cedary, bright cherry fruit aroma with distinctive varietal character; medium-full body; forward, moderately rich, spicy, cherry fruit flavors; well balanced and structured for bottle aging; medium-full tannin; slightly harsh on the finish; lingering aftertaste. Developed with airing in the glass and should reward another year or two of bottle aging. Very highly recommended. 13.9% alcohol; 875 cases; 100% PN; released April 2001.
